Welcome! I’m Dr. Charlotte (Chun) Gates.

I’m a licensed psychologist who integrates identity psychology with purposeful aesthetics to develop brand experiences that connect deeply with health, wellness, and beauty consumers. I translate neuroscience and subconscious emotional drivers into strategies that cultivate trust and brand loyalty.

My superpower is moving seamlessly between intricate details and big-picture vision, connecting the dots to design strategic, high-impact solutions. I bring structure to chaos while preserving the natural essence and flow of core concepts.

I’ve had a unique, multidisciplinary career. Highlights include providing therapy and marketing services at mental health clinics, guiding decisions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies at market research agencies, studying risk for mental illness and creative thinking at research consortia, and connecting people to their purpose through identity-driven branding initiatives.

Currently, I run my virtual style and branding consultancy, Dr Chun Coaching. I offer B2C style, color, and personal branding services to help individuals look and feel their best. Under Dr Chun Consulting, I offer B2B branding services to help health, wellness, and beauty companies craft a magnetic brand identity that captivates clients and leaves a lasting impact.

Beyond client projects, I’m a leader, teacher, speaker, and author. I wrote the non-fiction book, Earliest Memories, an intimate exploration of memory and identity featuring a collection of childhood stories from around the world. I also led the branding and marketing campaign for a successful US book tour in 2025.
